My journey into this work began at home, as the mother of my son, Ethan, who is neurodivergent. Raising Ethan has taught me more than any textbook: what it feels like to search for answers, to sit in waiting rooms hoping someone will truly understand your child, and to watch a bright, gifted young person be misunderstood by systems that weren't designed for the way his mind works. Those years also showed me the beauty of how God designs each child, with purpose and potential that deserve to be seen and celebrated. Every time I feared that we had reached the end of the road, God showed up in a big way, reminding me that He was not done with Ethan, that He was advancing Ethan, and that Ethan's story is for God's glory. As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, with clinical certifications in the diagnosis and treatment of neurodivergent children, I bring my mother’s heart to every session with a child, as if they were my own. I opened Wonderfully Made because I know how much it matters to find a place where evidence-based care and Christian faith come together, where every child is honored as fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and where parents feel understood, not judged. As a mom who has walked this road, I look forward to walking it alongside you and your family.
